Olena Koliesnik is a Ukrainian multidisciplinary artist and curator living in Orihuela, Spain. Her artistic practice is dedicated to exploring the “intangible assets” of human beings: free will, spirit, and choice. Through painting, graphic art, and performance, Koliesnik examines how inner existential states materialize into physical forms. The artist’s works are held in the State Treasury of Ukraine, the collection of the Rubalcava Palace in Spain, and private collections in the United States, Netherlands, Poland, and Canada. Artist Statement “My artistic practice is an exploration of the assets that allow a person to remain a subject in any context. I focus on investigating and revealing what cannot be taken away or destroyed. I perceive these intangible assets as the driving force that shapes the material world. I engage with the concept of ontology. My works emerge from existential questions. Working through painting, video, and performance, I materialize these liminal states — between intention and action, vulnerability and strength. For me, art is proof that human presence is fundamental, and that the immaterial is the primary architect of reality.”
