Any escape, like life itself, has its end. For those who have experienced war, the question “what are you running from?” ultimately leads to the most inevitable boundary — escape from physical death and oblivion.
It is the fear of not having time to leave something behind when everything around is collapsing. The Hero’s circle completely loses its clear boundaries, as muddy waves of chaos and reality begin to overtake it.
“If the first work was an escape from the inner self, then the final one is an escape from the ultimate end. This painting marks the final point: the run ends where I encounter inevitability.”
Note: The final work of the “Escape” section from the series “Solomon’s Paradox.” The full series consists of 18 works created at the intersection of psychology, exploring reptilian survival instincts and the artist’s lived experience of emigration.
